I want to give you a critical SEO tip that most people over look – blog commenting for SEO.
Blog commenting – the process of leaving valuable comments on other people’s blogs to drop backlinks to your own website (and boost your search engine rankings) is a very solid SEO technique.
However there is a way to really maximize the impact this has on your search engine rankings.
The first thing you need to do is to define your target keyword terms – those keyword terms that you’re looking to rank highly for in the major search engines. You should have at least 5-10 of these – the more you have the more related blogs you can find.
Having said that, you don’t want to dilute things too much with a lot of terms otherwise the time cost to benefit reward ratio starts to fade. So you’ll need to factor in how much focus you
want to put on the technique as a whole (and seriously think about outsourcing it) and expand a keyword list from there if required for greater depth and reach.
Now I’ve mentioned this a few times because it is the most critical thing when it comes to high search engine rankings (whether you’re building backlinks via blog commenting or any other technique). If you want to come up in the top results for a specific keyword term, the hands down BEST and MOST valuable backlink you can ever hope to achieve is from a website (or websites) that is already ranking well for that term.
So if you have a “making money” website and are looking to rank high for the term “making money”, the most valuable link you can get is from one (or more) of the websites already ranking well for that term. Generally the top 10 existing websites but you can extend this out to the top 20-30+ (keeping in mind that the further away they are the less value they will have). If you can manage to achieve just one such link (but the more the better) nothing is going to help your search engine rankings improve like this can.
Read that again. It’s very VERY important SEO wise if you’re struggling.
Furthermore, and just as important, is to have a link to your website from the SPECIFIC PAGE of the website that’s showing up in the results for the term (if it’s different from the home page of the website).
Why? Quite simply because this is the website that Google already sees as being THE MOST related to the term in question. If that website then links to yours it’s passing that strong theme relevancy to your own website. You’re basically “piggy backing” off of their existing theme relevant authority.
I hope you enjoyed this user submitted tip.
